Hartford, CT & Foothill Ranch, CA March 14 th, 2005 – Pratt & Whitney is deploying Solumina’s Process Planning and Work Instructions Delivery system across their MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) organization. After a very successful four month pilot in their East Hartford facility, Pratt & Whitney has been rolling out the Solumina Maintenance Process Planning and Execution System across their Component Repair and Engine Overhaul facilities. Pratt has completed implementation in 12 facilities around the world and plans to add another 5 facilities before the close of 2005. Pratt & Whitney’s Project manager, Richard Downing states, “We are very happy with the Process Planning and Shop Execution roll-out in our MRO organization, and are excited about our next phase rolling out Solumina CAPP and MES software into our manufacturing plants.
